Long Term Disability
Group Long Term Disability (LTD) provides the payment of disability
income benefits for employer-employee groups of two or more persons.
Group LTD will replace the earned income lost when an insured is
disabled due to an accident or illness and cannot perform the material
and substantial duties of their occupation.
Underwriters:
Paul Goebel Group accesses multiple carriers: Standard Insurance
Company, CNA, Boston Mutual, Guardian, and UNUM.
Eligibility:
All active, full-time employees working 30 hours or more per
week are eligible to apply.
Features:
• No underwriting required for firms with 10+ lives
• Underwriting may be required for 2-9 lives
• Own Occupation definition is available for groups 10+ lives
• Benefits:
- Up to $6,000/month (2-9 lives)
- Up to $10,000/month (10 or more lives)
• Plans:
50% - 60% - 66 2/3% of monthly salary insured
• Accident and sickness benefits to age 65
• Waiting periods - 60, 90, 180 days
• Not Experience Rated
• Each firm has own anniversary date
• Rates are based on benefits, age, sex and amount of salary
• Short Term Disability benefits are available
